Back when WYSIWYG Web Builder was young (and Free by the way). There was a lot of work done on the function to open and edit web pages, and it did get better through a couple of versions. Then it just stopped be worked on.

I think it is really just a difficulty factor. Dreamweaver and the Microsoft equivalent of the year have been among the few companies that have even taken up this challenge (with early MS products massacring the code to achieve this). Most of the others have gone with the "Generator".

Actually I don't know what the future holds for Web builder apps anyway, the way CMS systems are going. At some point it is just going to be all done in a CMS. A CMS with pixel perfect placement, graphic editing ccapacity and with layers and everything, will be the end of it for programs like WYSIWYG Web Builder.
There are a few things that I find lacking with WYSIWYG Web Builder. It’s import functions are fairly poor. Unlike Dreamweaver which can pull any page in, no matter what it was made with, and retain it’s CSS and layout, WYSIWYG Web Builder massacres the style and from what I’ve seen really messes up layers and divs. Pretty much unusable for complicated already made sites and templates. If they could get importing working well, this would really be the WYSIWYG editor to beat.
I put this up to the software developer of WYSIWYGwebbuilde and this is the reply I got from him...
WYSIWYG Web Builder is not an HTML editor, it is an HTML generator.
It will never be able to edit HTML code. An HTML editor is a completely different kind of tool.

Good to here, very glad it hasn't changed. Actually I never say the episode of DDD either. Sadly though my employer has me working from home now, so I am no longer right near the place.

Thank you so much for your shortlist azrain, I'll have to blog on those two places now and maybe I can turn you on to some new ones and old favs that are inspired.

No worries. I was there yesterday, as I typically am one or two times a week. The best things about Los Taquitos remain today as they did five years ago. The sisters are all cute, the food is as close to traditional Mexican as Ahwatukee can muster and the "ambiance" is still squirt bottles full of red sauce goodness, plastic utensils and Styrofoam cups of Mr. Pibb from a 20 year old fountain. Actually, in the Valley I rate Los Taquitos a very close fourth in a tight race for real Mexican food. Any person wishing to eat authentic Mexican food should consider their list to be; Comedor Guadalajara, Rosita's Place (24th Street and McDowell, not the cheesy Macayo's knock off in Tempe), Carolina's and Los Taquitos. Everything else is sadly, uninspiring.

He did a show on my favorite place called The Cove in San Antonio and if anything I don't think he gave it enough credit. Its more than a car wash/ Laundry mat/ Resturant. Its a place where everybody knows everybody. One of the best places to just hang out. They have live music almost everynight. The walls are covered in Artwork by local artists and signs. There is a patio with a bar-b-que pit, a play yard for kids, a ping pong table, and a basketball court. The food is great and he didn't even talk about one of the best things on the menu... THE FISH TACO. I know it sounds kind of gross but I'am in love with it. And even the Cove signs say The famous Fish taco. There are so many good things on the menu how could he only pick ONE!!!! And how could you compare a resturant to SOFTWARE?????

besides having some TV screwball come in and popularize your place will often boost it's profile for a little while and then fall off again. Easy come, easy go.

In the time that business is jumping the owner could make some financially irresponsible decisions because often times humans think that prosperity will always last.

It sounds like T&T webmaster here is trying to send customers to them the old fashioned way and this Guy Fieri is going to go in there with his chiclet teeth and bleached hair and make a mockery of their proud heritage of taquitos.

In the words of Sergeant Hulka, "lighten up Francis!."

Real selfishness and despicable behavior is more like when someone goes around making judgments and wishing evil by the lord on someone else for any article they don't like (and don't understand).

I certainly don't wish anything bad on Los Taquitos, or that they don't gain attention (hello, this post has a great review of their Tacos). What my opinion really is, is that Los Taquitos doesn't need Guy Fieri to be successful and grow customer base, and wish to point out that his always subjective reviews (can you even call it a review) is nothing but fluff marketing. Success from fluff advertising always seems to ruin a good thing, owners start rethinking their restaurant in usually poor ways, and usually they start to look and act like a chain restaurants, and/or they pop up a new location that just doesn't live up to the original.

You see success doesn't always have to be boated, out of proportion. and an example of mediocrity.

I hope you learn to read and appreciate others opinions someday.
